Not What I Would Have Guessed

I don't put a heck of a lot of stock in these quizzes, but I thought this one was interesting.

Take it yourself.
What's Your Theological Worldview?

You scored as Emergent/Postmodern. You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

You scored as A Romantic.

You're a romantic through and through. You may not ever have very many partners, but it's ok. You know that it's about the person who you're having it with, and that the sex is more of a fun biproduct - a very fun biprodict. You know how to make your partner happy, and that's what it's all about.

A Romantic- 80%
Sex God- 75%
A Slave To BDSM- 68%
Virgin- 60%

No, wait! Did I take the wrong quiz???

Dorsey I think it just reflects your present attitude and not so much the "real" you. I also think it must be a little flawed since Jeff and I got the exact same results.

ok this is who I am but I never meant these people in my life! I might be channeling again :P

You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan.

You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan- 71%
Fundamentalist-61%
Charismatic/Pentecostal-54%
Emergent/Postmodern-46%
Neo orthodox-46%
Reformed Evangelical-43%
Classical Liberal-32%
Roman Catholic-21%
Modern Liberal- 11%

*sigh* I am so un-methodists.
I am depraved
and I don't believe "The gift of the Holy Spirit" means your saved.

Hey does this mean I can't post anymore on all the "progressive" emerging Christian sites?

ok all I would really like you all to take the meyers brigg..Kersey.. whatever its called..do it its fun. But take the free one.

Take Care and your loved

jeff,
1) yes, you took the wrong test and;
2) you lied on it.

kc,
That observation is one to chew on. So you think I'll snap out of this and go back to the "real" me? Hmm...I'd call it the "old" me, not necessarily "real." I've "gone along to get along" with a lot of stuff that never really sat well with me.

You scored as Neo orthodox. You are neo-orthodox. You reject the human-centredness and scepticism of liberal theology, but neither do you go to the other extreme and make the Bible the central issue for faith. You believe that Christ is God's most important revelation to humanity, and the Trinity is hugely important in your theology. The Bible is also important because it points us to the revelation of Christ. You are influenced by Karl Barth and P T Forsyth.

Kc said...

What I should have said was that they don't really reflect your true convictions. You might be in a deconstructive mood but you're Emergent/Postmodern like I'm Muslim (hehe). ;-)

You scored as Modern Liberal.

You are a Modern Liberal. Science and historical study have shown so much of the Bible to be unreliable and that conservative faith has made Jesus out to be a much bigger deal than he actually was. Discipleship involves continuing to preach and practice Jesus' measure of love and acceptance, and dogma is not important in today's world. You are influenced by thinkers like Bultmann and Bishop Spong.

dorsey said...

Ok, I did.

I'm an ENFP/Serial Killer.

Is that good?

Mrs Zeke said...

A Serial Killer I new it!
You know Zeke is almost Serial Killer, just to quiet to be one as a INFJ.

Poor guy he lives with two INFP women.

Dorsey you know this makes you a louder version of me and Missy.

Cool were related :)

dorsey said...

I can live with that, so long as it's accompanied by some of Missy's artistic ability.

I'm still waiting to have my portrait done.

Mrs Zeke said...

Dorsey you know what sucks about knowing someone like Missy who has a clear God given talent, when they think they are so awful that the only reason someone would like there art is cause there her dad's friend!
But that is way off subject so Ill stop here.

Take care cause I like having you around

I've read neither of those gentlemen, but I can see where someone might think I was neo-orthodox... but I'm not.

Poo - now I have to read Barth.

RF2R2 said...

I also scored as 'A Nerdy Girl' on the, "What Kind of Girl Are You?" quiz.

dorsey said...

I recommend you start with Barth's "Church Dogmatics."

13 volumes, 6 million words.

Report back when you're done.

Mrs Zeke said...

I recommend "Oh The Places You Go" by Dr. Seuss, wraps it all up nice and tidy. Dorsey quit trying to make things complicated :P

RF2R2 said...

I've actually read "Oh the Places You Will Go." My dad got it for me for high school graduation /shrug

Mrs Zeke said...

Well then your set for life...off you go :)

RF2R2 said...

If Dr. Seuss prepares me for life, all I can say is, yikes...

Mrs Zeke said...

Yikes is a beautiful word!
Y could be used for yellow a beautiful color one could love
I could be used for the start of I love you, a beautiful statement
K can be used for "I love beautiful yellow Kites" Beautiful ones that fly in the sky
E could be used for exciting as in "Watching the beautiful yellow kites fly is exciting and I love it"
S could be used the beautiful made seashore as in "Watching the beautiful yellow kites fly above the beautiful seashore is exciting and I love it"

Yikes is cool :)

Love now tomorrow is not promised to anyone

I am almost entirely speechless. That I am almost speechless is all I can think to say.

Zeke said...

Welcome to the club. She often makes me speechless too.

Herobill said...

I didn't understand most of those questions???

Do they have a category for "Helpless Ignorant"?? :)

Mrs Zeke said...

herobill you may want to start with Green Eggs and Ham before you jump into Oh The places You Go.
Don't feel bad your not ignorant at all it can be hard understanding the concepts of life within those pages.

I am happy to help though :)

Herobill said...

I LOVE Green Eggs and Ham!!! :)

That silly quiz, that silly quiz,
I'd like to take it, boy, gee whiz
And I would take it in the rain
Or in a car or on a train
I would take it, you would see...

If I knew their terminology! ;)
