To the friends, enemies, and uncertain: Thanks- you are used by the Lord to enrich my life for His puposes. Some w/the richness of wisdom and some w/the richness of manure, but you are vital to my growth anyway/either way. I pray (not too hard) that I may also enrich your life, either way.
May we all develop better insights into life so that we can appreciate its fullness.

I guess a thank you is in order to Him that is responsible for all my blessings. But being a man a couple years past 39 a few times over, my reasons for thanks I guess have changed. Prior to 39 it was all about surviving with adequate status. A BMW in the drive would have been nice, and what we see on the home and garden channel… “What can you buy for $1.5 million dollars” would have been nice as well. But on the other side of 39 somehow these things seem to have loss there value. I still want a car the starts and stops well and a warm house to live in. But a good Chebby and my meager home suits me fine. Who wants to heat, clean, and pay taxes on a $1.5 million dollar home? Besides, how many rooms can you live in at one time and, consider this, if you were blind would you care? But this side of 39 it has become much more about people than things. The health of the family members and friends are those things that are out of my control and into the hands of God. On this side of 39 I have found prayer to be a great friend. I guess it is because I find it to be such a valuable instrument in the post 39 walk with God. Ii is how I “touch” God at His home. And it is a blessing to know that He wants to be “touched”. Therefore I guess I will change my beginning statement from, “I guess a thank you is in order to Him”, to... Thank You Lord for your ministry of ever interceding at the hand of the Father and for answered pray and all the wonderful people that you have placed in my life. That is about as mushy as I get… and just to put some mucho back into the conversation to close as the mucho man that I am… for those who find this tone to femine...“Go Pound Sand!”

Amazing that a three word post could generate so many words in return!! Perhaps because the three words were so well-chosen and filled with meaning???

Great to see you last week...come back soon..

Thank you Dorse for being there for the teens and for helping us when we needed it. We had good times that won't be forgotten. Also, thanks for hiring me on for a day to paint with you.
